PET BRASIL

The Pet Brasil sectoral project is the result of a partnership between the Pet Brasil Institute and ApexBrasil – Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos, an agency linked to the federal government. The initiative helps and guides companies that want to export their products, whether they are beginners, already exporting, or internationalized.


At the same time, the project seeks to publicize the potential of the Brazilian industry in the international market, which is increasingly aligned with the demands of the main global markets.


Created in 2013, Instituto Pet Brasil brings together the entire sector focused on pets, from the specialized segment, pets shops, to service providers, including breeders and veterinary clinics, in addition to companies that develop and sell accessories, medicines, personal hygiene, beauty and wellness products for our best friends.

 

The Institute promotes and strengthens the relationship between human beings and pets, as its members understand that this interaction benefits the whole of society.

 

Through projects to promote knowledge, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and innovation, the Institute encourages harmonious and sustainable coexistence among the main actors in the pet sector, including, in addition to the production chain, government, academic, and third-sector entities. All to make Brazil a reference in management, innovative public policies, and export of products and services for pets.

The Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos (ApexBrasil) has the mission of promoting exports of Brazilian products and services, contributing to the internationalization of Brazilian companies and attracting foreign investment to Brazil.

 

ApexBrasil served approximately 30 thousand companies of all sizes from 2014 to 2018, especially small and medium-sized ones. Exports by supported companies totaled approximately US$ 280 billion in this period, accounting annually for approximately 25% of the total exported by Brazil.

 

Through initiatives carried out in partnership with sector entities, the Agency organizes trade promotion actions, such as prospective and trade missions, business roundtables, support for Brazilian companies to participate in major international fairs, and visits by foreign buyers and opinion makers to know the productive Brazilian structure. It also produces commercial and competitive intelligence studies to guide national companies' decisions on entering international markets.
